Dispatcher of the Year

Congratulations to all of our Dispatchers of the Year Past, Present and Future

Each December the Communications Officers nominate their peers for The Dispatcher of the Year award. The Dispatcher of the Year must have:

      1. Superior performance above and beyond normal expectations & demonstrates exceptional skills while performing job duties in any or all of the following areas: Police radio operator, Fire radio operator, Phone operator and or Teletype operator.
2. Professionalism while performing job duties.
3. Willingness to help in crises and emergencies.
4. General willingness to help others and promote teamwork, including but not limited to a positive rapport with the public, system users and coworkers.
5. Leadership abilities on assigned shift and Comm. Center wide.
6. Commendation letters and/or awards received.
7. Give more of themselves for the good of the organization. Based on the above criteria, please nominate the individual whom you feel is deserving of the Dispatcher of the Year Award. In the space provided below we would like you to provide a brief narrative to support your nomination. A dispatcher can receive the award more than once.

The top nominations are then put on a ballot and presented to the Supervisors at the December staff meeting to cast the final vote.
